In this tour we take you through the places where Buddhism flourished in its early age and it’s historical existence can be seen through various stupas, monasteries, monks and the Buddhism practices till date. There is unparalleled spiritualism and wisdom for the seekers on this tour. Apart from main attractions with Buddhism, you also get to visit Varanasi, also known as Banaras or Kashi. Kashi is said to be Lord Shiva’s city and you will see devotees visiting the place in full faith and reverence. River Ganga which is considered to be sacred in Hindu religion also washes the Ghat of Banaras and people visit to take a holy dip.

Arrival – Delhi

Day 01

Arrival at the International Airport, on arrival welcome garland by the representative of Everbright India, later transfer to respective hotel for overnight stay.

Delhi – Varanasi

Day 02

After breakfast fly to Varanasi, on arrival lunch at restaurant, later sightseeing of Sarnath Temple, evening attend Ganga Aarti Ceremony, Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Note: We have mentioned ancient Buddhist site which is also in the proposed list of UNESCO world heritage sites where buddha preached for the first time after his enlightment. Ganga Aarti will let you feel the spirituality and Hindu culture. It is most visited by Indian Prime Minister along with other Nation Heads.

Varanasi – Bodhgaya

Day 03

Breakfast at Hotel, after breakfast drive to Bodhgaya (275Kms / 6Hrs), on arrival transfer to hotel, after lunch visit MAHABODHI TEMPLE, stay there up to two-three hours to feel the spirituality and peace, later back to hotel, dinner and overnight.

Note: We have mentioned UNESCO World Heritage site which is the biggest monument of Buddhism.

Bodhgaya – Rajgir

Day 04

Breakfast at hotel, after breakfast time spent in Mahabodhi Temple, later visit Buddha Statue then drive to Rajgir (75Kms / 1.5Hrs), on arrival lunch at hotel, after lunch sightseeing of Venu Van, Ghora Katora and Gridhkuta Hills.

Rajgir – Nalanda – Vaishali

Day 05

After breakfast drive to Nalanda (13Kms/20 Minutes) visit to Nalanda University Ruins and Xuan Zang Memorial, after lunch continue drive to Vaishali (115Kms/3.5Hrs), dinner and overnight.

Note: We have mentioned visit to one UNESCO World Heritage site and one Chinese ancient era site which is also an example of it’s architecture.

Vaishali – Kushinagar

Day 06

After breakfast visit The Ashoka Pillar, later after lunch drive to Kushinagar (230Kms/5.5Hrs), evening sightseeing at Mahaparinirvana Stupa and some Buddhist temples, dinner and overnight stay.

Note: We have mentioned one Buddhist site in Vaishali and the another from when buddha departed from the Earth.

Kushinagar – Lumbini

Day 07

After breakfast drive to Lumbini (Nepal) (160Kms/5Hrs including time spent at Indo-Nepal Boarder), the birthplace of Buddha, on arrival lunch at hotel, after lunch sightseeing of Mayadevi Temple, dinner and overnight

Lumbini – Sravasthi

Day 08

After breakfast drive to Sravasthi (190Kms / 4.5Hrs), on arrival lunch at hotel, after lunch sightseeing of Jetvan, Sahet – Mahet which are the archeological sites. dinner and overnight.

Note: Today we have mentioned one of the most important Buddhist site, where Buddha spent 25 Years of His life.

Sravasthi – Lucknow – Delhi

Day 09

Breakfast at hotel, after breakfast drive to Lucknow (175Kms/4Hrs), on arrival lunch at hotel, after lunch drive back to Delhi(550Kms/8.5Hrs) or can take flight to Delhi, Dinner and overnight.

Note: This day there will be first half drive of 4 hrs. and after lunch drive of 8.5 hrs. (Second half drive on fastest highway of India)

Delhi – Departure

Day 10

Breakfast at hotel, after breakfast, visit National Museum, after lunch visit India Gate, Lotus Temple, later free for leisure, after dinner transfer to airport.

Note: This is the Buddhist program so National Museum is a must visit place, also mentioned landmarks like India Gate and Bahai Temple which designed in the shape of a Lotus flower.
