Day 01

Arrive Guwahati by Air or Train, meet and greet at Airport or Railways station, after warm welcome you will be transferred to Shillong, approx. 3 hours’ drive.

En-route guest can enjoy speed boating at Bora Pani, Umiam Lake (5 minutes boats are available)

Shillong: The romantic city of Shillong is one of the important tourist destinations in the northeast. The Romantic city, Shillong is often referred to as the “Scotland of the East” due to its striking similarity with the Scottish highlands. Shillong has its own charm, different from other hill stations, and presents a natural scenic beauty with waterfalls, brooks, pine grooves and gardens. The place, the people, the flora and fauna and the climate all combine to make Shillong an ideal resort throughout the year. Local tribes like the Khasi, Jaintia and Garo tribes add color to this hilly city.

Day 02

Proceed the excursion of Shillong, visiting Golf Ground, Don Bosco Museum one of the worth visiting Museum in Indian, Museum focusing on local indigenous people & culture, with tools, clothing & artifacts on display.  (Closed on Sundays and Public Holidays state and Centre Govt, 0900 hrs to 1730 hrs), Lady Hydari Park, (Closed on Mondays) it’s a Scenic, manicured green space with flowering gardens, a water feature & a modest zoo. Cathedral of Marry Laitlum and can also enjoy boating at Ward Lake (on direct payment)

Later visit Elepahnt Falls: Elephant Falls is situated at the outskirts of the main city of Shillong. It is almost 12 kms away from the city chaos. The unique part of these falls is that, it is a two-tier waterfall set in the dingles of the rocks. These curved falls have an eye-catching beauty and the surrounding green vegetation makes it a perfect picnic spot. This beautiful fall is made of three smaller falls and the combined stream adorns the fern-covered rocks below. Locals call it Ka Kshaid Lai Pateng Khohsiew, the literal meaning of which is-‘Three Steps Water Falls’. The present and more popular name has its origin in the British era when the Englishmen spotted a giant rock that looked like an elephant near the fall. Of course, while the colonial era is long era but the name has stuck!

After Shillong excursions drive to Cherrapunjee, en-route visiting Mawkdog Velley, approx.. 30 kms drive from Shillong, it offers a wonderful vantage point located on Shillong – Cherrapunji road in Meghalaya. Guest can enjoy some adventure activities like Zip lining for a wide view.

Day 03

Later proceed for excursion of Cherrapunjee and its nature:  the following places of tourist interest:. Seven Sister Falls (Nohsngithiang Falls), Mawsmai Caves, (now two caves are operationals)  Eco Park, , Thangkharang Park, Thangkharang Park is the Khoh Ramrah rock, which is popularly known as the Shiva Rock. Placed right opposite the entry gate of the park, this huge rock is in the shape of a lingam, Nohkalikai Falls,

After excursion drive to Shillong, you will cross one more time Mawkdok Valley, (Falls are active during Rainy Season)

Kaziranga: One of the most sought after wildlife holiday destinations in India, Kaziranga National park’s 430 square kilometer area sprinkled with elephant-grass meadows, swampy lagoons, and dense forests is home to more than 2200 Indian one-horned rhinoceros, approximately 2/3rd of their total world population. Undoubtedly, the park is known for its good population of animals but more than that it’s the wildlife conservation initiatives that take place in the park are more popular. With its amazing wildlife conservation activities, the park has successfully managed to grow the population of Greater one-horned rhinoceros, an endangered species

Upon arrival in Kaziranga, check in to the hotel.

Note: Kindly note, Shared Elephant ride and Shared Jeep safari are controlled and managed by Department of Forest Govt. of Assam. Therefore, no has any control on booking of seats on Shared Elephant and Shared Jeep while going for safari.

Optional : The Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park is sprawling in the area of around 6 acres in the Durgapur village and is considered as the largest orchid park in the Northeast belt of India. The park has multiplied the glory of the Kaziranga in many folds. The Orchid Park boasts of having more than 500 varieties of wild orchids, 132 species of sour fruits and leafy vegetables, 46 species of bamboo, 12 species of cane and many other plants along with various species of local fishes.

Enjoy varieties of Cultural exhibitions and folk dances of Assam.

Day 05

Optional : 0530 hrs Early morning enjoy your visit to National park on a shared Elephant ride,

Around 0900 hrs drive to National Park for a  Jeep Safari.

Later in afternoon Kakochang waterfall (approx. 35 kms one way from Kaziranga)

Day 06

Drive to Guwahati approx. 4/5 hrs drive, en-route visit Tea Garden near Kaziranga

Upon arrival check in to the hotel

Later proceed for Kamakhya Temple Darshan ,( we can organize the  Darshan with a Priest and Poojan Samagri) (Temple timings  0800-1300 hrs and  1715 to 1930 hrs followed by Evening Arti)

Maa Kamakhya or Kameswari is the renowned Goddess of Desire whose famous shrine is located in the heart of Nilachala Hill situated in the western part of Guwahati, it is one of the most sacred and oldest of the 51 Shati Pithas of Hindu religion. The shrine remain closed during Ambubachi Mela, locally known as “Ameti” or “Amoti” is the biggest religious congregation, It is observed during the monsoon season in the month of ‘Ashara’ as per Assamese/ Bengali calendar beginning with the seventh day which falls around 21st or 22nd of June of Gregorian Calendar.

After Darshan, proceed for Shopping at local market in Guwahati, Paan Bazaar Area.
